Burnhaupt-le-Haut is a village of 1795 inhabitants, located in the department of Haut-Rhin and the Alsace region, halfway between the towns of Mulhouse and Belfort. Its inhabitants are called the Burnhauptois and the Burnhauptoises.

The name of the village comes from the Old High German Brunn which became Burn: source and Haupt: main.

Opening of the town hall to the public

Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Thursday :  10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (5 p.m. in July and August)
