Grand Est school transport

Warning : school transport for students with disabilities is managed by the Departmental House for People with Disabilities on behalf of the Haut-Rhin Departmental Council.

Proximity & School transport
The Department sees to the organization of school transport.
Since the 1st January 2017, school transport was transferred from the departmental councils to the regions (except school transport for disabled pupils). Thus, the Grand Est Region organizes and finances in the Haut-Rhin:
240 transport routes school for the service of high schools and colleges, ensuring thus free school transport for middle school students under 16 and the payment of 65% of transport costs for middle school students over 16 years of age and high school students.
65 circuits for intermunicipal educational groups. The management of these circuits is delegated to local organizers, mainly communities municipalities and school unions.
It also contributes to the transport of pupils on the urban transport networks of Colmar, Mulhouse and Saint-Louis and on the regional rail network.
